Promotion Efforts

When it comes to promoting a web site, keyword research you conduct will usually dictate your success as the Web evolves. I have repeatedly written that the Internet is one big playground for keywords, and therefore rank high on search engines is one big pun. Every time someone searches for keywords, search engines scour the Internet to find sites that are focused on the "keyword".

Because there are millions of websites competing for the same keyword, so the engines decide which website to rank higher than another? There are several factors that are taken into account, but nothing more to search engine optimization (SEO), which is essentially a strategic use of selected keywords.

"On Page" SEO is not really used more than the targeted keywords in certain places their websites in a very specific way. Keywords used in your website's domain name, individual web pages and meta data file names, such as title, keyword and description tags, within the body of a web site or blog, as well as anchor text for linking purposes. Keyword research is how I begin with the establishment of niche content websites. Proper keyword research involves learning the keywords supply, demand and potential for profitability.

Acquisition refers to the number of competing sites online that are competing for a particular keyword, and demand is the number of persons carried, or search within a certain time frame. It is following a detailed keyword research exercise that I am able to compile the architectural design for my website. This is essentially the skeletal system of my website, which sets out the main page that will be connected to my home page (called Tier 2 pages) and Web pages linked to them (so-called Tier 3 pages).

I understand that targeting everything online publication of certain key words may sound impractical if you are running a blog, although it is possible. Better application of this discussion is still relevant for static content or niche sites.

So when building your next web site, you can go with a gut and targeted keywords that you think should be focused and can do well, or you can explore the hottest keywords and guarantee that you will surely do well.

We will later discuss the best tool for keyword research, and one I use when planning my niche websites.
What about you, do you consider the keyword research a critical component of your success online?
